L.E.V.I.

Who am I? What defines me? There's a photograph in my staircase that I walk past every day. From the front door you take and few steps forwards and turn to the right where you will find a staircase leading down to the basement. As you descend the stairs, you will see picture frames left and right in descending order. There is a portrait of each of us in each frame and above them is a paragraph written for and about us. These describe the origin of our names and what they mean. A random person my parents hired when we were babies made them, but it's crazy to look at them and see how accurate they have turned out to be.

I won't go into details about mine, but it has shaped and defined my life. I love to look at it and evaluate my actions. I try to live in accordance with my namesake.  It has inspired my to be a better person.

When we know who we are and who we can be, we are given a greater purpose and we are called to a higher calling in life. This purpose gives us hope and faith and willpower. Hope that we can be great, faith that we can be successful, and willpower to accomplish whatever it is that we strive to accomplish.

Knowing this, I thought it would be fun to describe myself in my own words. One day as I was sitting in class I spelled my name on a scrap piece of paper. I always find it fun to write my own name in block or bubble letters. It's fun to experiment with all the different ways that I can write my name. It's my go to doodling activity. As I was writing my name I remembered writing a poem that wrote in elementary school. I can't remember what type of poem it is, but it's where you spell out a commonly used word and then turn it into an acronym. Stemming out from this main word, you write other words that describe the main word. I don't know what inspired me to do this, but I did it. Here is what I came up with:

L E V I
a  a  a  n
u  t  c  v
g     u  e
h     u  n
       m  t

I'd say that those words describe me in a nutshell. At least, with the letters that I had to work with. It doesn't describe me perfectly, but it comes fairly close.
Laugh; I love to be happy. Laughing and influencing those around me to smile and to partake of the joys of life is one of my daily goals.

Eat; there is no arguing that I love food. I am always hungry, especially at the most inconvenient times. It can be rather frustrating.

Vacuum, now this one sounds strange, I’m sure. This one symbolizes the enjoyment that I find in cleaning. Not just the enjoyment, but also the necessity of it. It also symbolizes my OCD.

The last word, invent, is one of my favorites. I use this word as a synonym for create seeing as I love to create music and art. I absolutely love to create and to come up with new ideas. I love to think about life and inventions that could make it better. Oftentimes these are ridiculous ideas, but then again everything was once a ridiculous idea.

So that’s me. Who are you?

When someone mentions your name I can see those words coming to mind. It's cool how we all have different personalities. That's what makes us, us!
